| Well it's 4AM in Houston-I fly out in two hours and thirty-five minutes. It has been fun. I've had a fun time hanging out with Christine, and I really enjoyed seeing the Glasgow's again-especially getting to know Julia better. Man I feel like CRAP! I ate these two HUGE pieces of chocolate cake AFTER I had already eaten dinner, but hey-I got $30 for it. I'm wearing my sarong and my shirt that says "with a shirt like this, who needs pants?" home. I'm expecting to get disgusted looks from the 'normal' people, looks of disgust from the security people who have to frisk me :P, and amusement from the not-so-normal ones out there. Dang but I just want to puke! Arg. See you guys in Spokane! | | |
| Hey! We'll Chris flew back Friday-I don't leave until Wednesday. I'm staying at the Glasgow's until Tuesday, then I'll go to Christine's and she'll take me to the airport Thursday. I'm going to go to Seminary with Steve tomorrow and Tuesday-so that should be fun. Nothing much elses going on, just waiting to leave. See everyone in three days! | | |
| Jambo! We got back from Kenya last night, spent the night at Dan and Laura's, and then Christine picked up us this morning. We are now at Christine's house, just got finished jumping in the pool (with all of our clothes still on-heck yes), and we will probably bum around her house until tonight when we go to the movies. Christine's mom works for a big casino company so her house is GINOURMOUS-in has a swimming pool, built in radio in every room, and a huge kitchen. Well I'm off to do some bumming! | | |
| Hey! We are in Lamu which is a small town on an island off the coast of Kenya. We just arrived here today by plane and boat and will be leaving tomorrow morning for Mpeketoni. Dan is trying to get the trip extended one day so we can spend more than one day with the students in Mpeketoni. It's raining a lot-it hasn't really let up since we got here. Lamu seems to be more of a tourist spot, there are more foreigners here than there seemed to be in Nairobi, and there are a lot more hotels and shops. Hopefully later tonight Chris and I will be able to get out and go shopping. I bought a phone card in Nairobi, I plan on using it tonight. Actually the time difference is really easy to figure out, all you guys would do is subtract two hours from your time and change the AM to PM or vise versa. We just add the hours. Yeah you can thank Chris for that figuration. Anyway, I'll update again when we come back through Lamu or in the airport in London. Jambo! | | |
